His mother, is Mdlalose’s mentor, friend and role-model. He says, “My mom taught me from a young age to believe in myself, fear God, respect everyone, never give up and always help anyone in need. She always said if I do all that she has instilled in me, the Lord, world and people will appreciate me and I will receive lots of blessings in life.”

Mdlalose matriculated at Sir Pierre Van Rynerveld in Kempton Park and then studied marketing with UNISA where he obtained his marketing certificate. He then entered the entertainment field which he loves. “I’ve worked with the SABC for about four years; as a presenter on Tube and later as presenter and content researcher for SABC Education award winning shows Take 5 and Making Moves.”

Mdlalose is currently a part time student with the IMM Graduate School of Marketing, where he’s completing his IMM Diploma in Marketing. He is one of the ambassadors for the Ekurhuleni Municipality Youth Unit office, where he is involved in various community based outreach projects. He hopes in the future to do more charity events, motivational teen talks and have a fund similar to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. He loves working with other young people.

Making Moves is a magazine show that celebrates and promotes young successful South African entrepreneurs. Each week Making Moves profiles a budding entrepreneur who runs a company that has been in existence for over a year, is between the ages of 18-years and 35-years, can prove some level of cash flow into the business, but has some teething problems. Profiled businesses are paired with a mentor who gives the entrepreneurs advice on how to improve the running of their companies.
