Cosmopolitan is offering a random-draw cash prize of R10 000 to readers for telling them which cover they like most.
"We saw the shoot and there was no way we could choose one cover," says editor Cathy Lund. The three covers show Minaj in a blue star-spangled one-piece, a gold sparkler, and a bright yellow Moschino number, which she’s wearing in a bath. As one commentator said; "You’re going to need all of the sunglasses emojis for this one."
Lund notes that Minaj sums up the Cosmopolitan tribe’s ethos and mood; “As we flagged her on our cover, Nicki is uncensored, unapologetic and unbelievable. She is the world’s highest-paid female rapper and she’s a serious businesswoman but she didn’t shy away from deeply personal questions about her private life. We can all learn from her candid views.”
Minaj opened up to Cosmopolitan about loss, being a demanding boss, her future as a wife and mother and her sex life.
After the shoot, the Feeling Myself rapper said; “What I really love about Cosmopolitan is that it appeals to the everyday girl, and to every girl. I think we definitely accomplished something very sexy and forward [with this shoot], and I can’t wait for my fans to see it.”
