Zee TV has captured the heart of Africa with its Hindi, English and French channels.

“Zee TV prides itself in authentic content, we identified the Miss India South Africa Pageant as an event that resonated with our mission, it is with great pleasure that we partner in an event that celebrates culture at its best”, says Zee TV CEO, Mr Harish Goyal.

The Miss India South Africa contestants are competing to travel abroad in 2016, to take part in the Silver Jubilee of the Miss India Worldwide Pageant. Twenty contestants will strut the runway, each representing their provinces. Five provinces, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Western Cape, Mpumalanga and the Free State will boast their Indian gems hoping that theirs shines the brightest. The Free State will be competing for the first time; this definitely increases the competitive spirit.

The pageant will take place at the Lyric Theatre, and it is expected to be an exciting celebration of Indian culture. The extravaganza will be very colourful with a dazzling programme which will feature a hair workshop, skin clinic, motivational lectures, skills development and social etiquette.

The Miss India South Africa Pageant is not all about the glitz and glamour, contestants have both beauty and brains. The final judgement is the question and answer segment, this platform is where the contestants demonstrate their conversational skills. A highly credible panel of judges will be tasked to select the winner, and for the very first time a new technology known as the Ipro will be used to tabulate the scores.

The reigning titleholder, Shivani Govender who was placed second runner-up in Mumbai last month, will crown the new Miss India South Africa 2015 winners. This is bound to be an occasion graced by brilliance, celebrating Indian culture, beauty, talent and intellect of young Indian women in South Africa.
