Registrations are limited to 30 000 participants. Individuals can still register at Marks Park between Monday, 18 October, and Saturday, 22 October from 10:00 to 19:00 each day. Tickets cost R140 per adult, while children between the ages of two and 12 pay R90, and toddlers up to the age of two enter for free. All participants will receive a gift bag for taking part in the walkathon.
TV and radio presenters, and other local artists will provide live entertainment and there will be numerous food stalls and other activities participants can enjoy after the walk.
Participants will also have the opportunity to be part of a historic moment through the #PoutForAPurpose world record attempt. In line with the company’s ‘Beauty for A Purpose’ mission statement, this will be an Avon world record attempt for the most number of people applying lipstick at the same event.
