PR pros, do you want to know how to keep your client relations game on point?

Then read here as media update's Lara Smit teaches you the three fundamentals of building customer connections:

1. Talk to your customers

As we know, communication is the key to making any relationship work. Keeping your customers filled in will allow them to feel included and engaged every step of the process. This will create an overall positive customer experience — boosting their loyalty.

You can do this through:
  • creating and sharing content like blogs and social posts
  • supplying clients with newsletters, and
  • email updates.

2. Keep your ears peeled

Every conversation actually starts with, "and you?"

Whether it's through surveys, social media tracking, or even follow-up emails, listening to feedback is the only way to keep the conversation going with your customers and ensure you always meet their expectations.

3. Have smashing customer service

Good customer service will always be one of the most effective ways to build and maintain good relationships with customers. PR pros can improve their customer service by:
  • streamlining customer service through customer support systems that speedily address common queries and complaints
  • implementing customer service training
  • simplifying feedback processes, and
  • creating a culture that prioritises customer service.
