Clover, one of South Africa's most trusted and loved household brands, has reaffirmed its commitment to health and cancer awareness with a R500 000 donation to PinkDrive NPC — South Africa's leading non-profit organisation promoting early detection of gender-related cancers.
The cheque handover took place at a PinkDrive screening activation at the Randburg Clinic on Monday, 10 November, marking the culmination of Clover's 'Pink October' campaign. The initiative saw Clover "go pink" across the country, introducing limited-edition PinkDrive packaging on four of its popular dairy products — 2L Fresh Milk, 2L Ultra-Pasteurised Milk, 250ml Fresh Cream and 1 kg Double Cream Yoghurt, says the duo.
For every pink pack purchased nationwide during October, Clover donated 20 cents to PinkDrive's life-saving work. Through this campaign, Clover empowered South Africans to make a difference with their daily purchases, turning small actions into a collective effort for change, adds the duo.
"Clover has always stood for care, quality, and community," says Dibueng Bosman from Clover. "Our partnership with PinkDrive is a reflection of that purpose — ensuring that more South African women can access essential cancer screening services, especially in areas where healthcare resources are limited."
"We are deeply grateful to Clover for their continued partnership," adds Noelene Kotschan, CEO and Founder of PinkDrive. "This collaboration allows us to take our mobile health services into communities that need them most — empowering women through access, education, and early detection."
In attendance at the handover were Noelene Kotschan (CEO and Founder of PinkDrive), Bongumusa Makhathini (Chairman of PinkDrive), His Excellency Ambassador SHIMIZU Fumio from the Embassy of Japan, Thembi Zulu, Deputy Director: Women's Health from the National Department of Health, and Clover representatives Bradwin Bosman and Dibueng Bosman, says the duo.
The funds raised will go toward expanding PinkDrive's mobile mammography, cervical cancer screening and health education programmes, reaching under-resourced and rural areas across South Africa, adds the duo.
"This partnership is a powerful example of how the corporate and social sectors can come together to create real impact," says Bongumusa Makhathini, Chairman of PinkDrive. "Together, we are reaching more women, spreading awareness, and saving lives."
Through campaigns like this, Clover continues to live its brand promise — "Made with Love for the Ones You Love" — by nurturing care, wellbeing and community across South Africa. Together, Clover and PinkDrive are turning awareness into action, one pink pack at a time, concludes the duo.
