The Clover Mama Afrika project has been recognised for its corporate social investment work and awarded a PMR award for the 18th consecutive year.
Clover Mama Afrika is a sustainable Corporate Social Investment project that has been in existence since 2001, seeing the project host 1 917 training sessions with over 16 016 beneficiaries over the years, says the programme.
"We are honoured to have been recognised for this award once again, receiving the highest rating in our category, each year we are filled with gratitude when we receive such good news. Impact isn't about the size of the project, but the depth of transformation it creates," says Rika Haasbroek, Clover Manager, Corporate Social Investment and Clover Mama Afrika.
"The most successful initiatives are those that build long-term capacity, equipping people with skills, confidence and networks that continue to multiply opportunity long after the initial investment. As a project we strive to make a difference and empower our Mamas to lead successful centres," says Hassbroek.
Clover Mama Afrika has been awarded the PMR Diamond Arrow Award 2025, following the survey conducted during July and August. Clover Mama Afrika received a rating of 4.25 out of a possible 5, says the programme.
The PMR Awards, which companies and institutions cannot enter, are assessed through a national survey to determine how they are perceived to enhance economic development, growth and stability through their corporate social responsibility programmes and initiatives in South Africa, says the programme.
"I want the programme to continue to unlock our Clover Mama Afrika's' potential and continue to give women the tools, confidence and opportunities to shape their own paths. It's not about giving power to someone but helping them recognise and use the power they already have. I want to thank the PMR Awards for this recognition and this award, it shows that we are making a difference in rural communities," concludes Haasbroek.
