Mdzananda Animal Clinic and Shelter has announced that it invites the public to its 'Valentine's Picnic for Paws', a special fundraising event in support of the animals of Khayelitsha.
Taking place on Saturday, 14 February, from 10:00 to 14:00 at the picturesque Joostenberg Bistro & Deli, the event promises a relaxed and memorable picnic experience filled with food, company and a meaningful cause. Guests are encouraged to attend with their partners, friends, families, or even solo, while enjoying an outdoor setting. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join their owners on the day, says the shelter.
Attendees can look forward to a selection of freshly prepared picnic baskets, including regular, vegan, single-adult and children's options. Drinks will be available for purchase at the venue, and guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of Mdzananda's dogs currently up for adoption, adds the shelter.
"Last year's picnic was incredibly special, with a wonderful turnout from our supporters. Funds raised helped us to continue our vital work in the community," says Kelly Arendse, Fundraiser and Event Organiser. "We're so excited to welcome everyone back for our Valentine's edition this year — a celebration of love, community and compassion for animals."
