Sparrow Schools experienced significant growth over the last few years and updated its logo that includes a bird design to be more current and to eliminate confusion with another NGO called Sparrow Ministries.
“We feel it’s modern, simple and fresh and something that appeals to the now as it represents all our schools and our holistic approach to education,” says Pearl Nkosi, fundraising assistant at Sparrow Schools.
The new logo still includes a bird design which beneficiaries will be familiar with. “It also appeals to our corporate partners who relate to simple and clean design,” she says.
The new look symbolises growth and Sparrow Schools’ holistic approach of giving children and youth with learning challenges the wings to fly and become self-sufficient adults.
The logo was designed by Keith Marsh, fundamentals facilitator at the school and who also manages the school’s website, which is one of the first ports of call for anyone who feels they would like to get involved with Sparrow Schools.
The new logo appears on the school’s vehicles, uniforms and social media channels.
Sparrow Schools Educational Trust is a non-profit organisation that provides affordable and specialised education to disadvantaged youth with barriers to learning. Its foundation and combined school caters for grades 1 – 9 learners and Sparrow FET College offers FET accredited programmes in partnership with some of South Africa’s big corporate companies.
