There are so many incredible features available on social media that you may or may not have experimented with before.

Even if it's just a one-time thing, it's worth trying out to see what you like best and how well it can help your engagement and performance.

If you are keen to play, then read on as media update's Saads Abrahams starts the best game of 'Never have I ever' here:

Never have I ever created a Reel

Reels on Instagram are kind of like TikTok. All videos. Many people reshare their TikTok videos as a Reel to get double the exposure without doing double the work. Reels are the best way to grow your Instagram page and to be discovered by new people.

Your Reels can be short or long, and Instagram has various tools at your disposal to edit your Reel to make it as fancy as you want. These tools consist of the following:
  • audio
  • AR effects
  • timer and countdown
  • align, and
  • speed.
If you have a private account your reels will only be available to your followers and if you have a public page your Reels will be available to your followers, as well as on the explore page and be available to the wider Instagram community.

Never have I ever gone live

Be it Instagram, Twitter, TikTok or Facebook, all platforms have the option to go live. Now going live to some people might feel a bit cringy, but it is a great way to connect with your social community and to build deeper connections with your followers.

You need to keep in mind that going live is all about engagement and exposure. Going live lets you tell your audience about your brand and they are able to ask you questions upfront.

And with that, the ball is in your court to address any issues or concerns directly to the public.

If you haven't gone live here is what you need to remember to:
  • keep your context clear
  • optimise your setup (even if you go live on the spot)
  • constantly engage with your audience, and
  • make sure your live stream stays captivating.

Never have I ever done a TikTok trend

Come on, you know you always wanted to hop in on a viral TikTok trend … and if we are being completely honest, we secretly tried that dance in the mirror.

And if you are a Millennial, you were probably thinking that these arm moves are not dancing. We did the entire Step Up 2 routine when we were younger. Now that is what you call dancing Gen Zs.

However, even if you have tried a trend in secret it is time to let it shine, on the For You Page of the masses. Now it might feel slightly ridiculous but that is what makes it so fun!

Trending videos have the ability to spark the attention of the whole world. Jumping on a trend can give you viral success as well, or ultimately just boost your page engagement.

Hopping onto a trend? Remember to:
  • be authentic and unique
  • stay on brand, and
  • have fun.

Never have I ever created a story

You can create a story on pretty much every social platform that's available. Stories are a great way to:
  • increase your engagement
  • generate leads
  • promote sales, and
  • give little snippets into your life.

The best thing about stories is that they only last 24 hours. After that, you have the option to highlight them to the top of your page (Instagram only) or save them to your device. These work incredibly well if you are at an event and you want to post about it but don't want it to affect your page's aesthetic.

At the end of the day, remember that social media is about making use of technology to connect with the world and, ultimately, to just have fun.
