Twitter made an
extremely big move this week by becoming
X.
This is just the latest in
a string of changes the social media network is making.
Some of the changes were small and some —
like the big X — were not so small.
Keep scrolling as Alrika Möller from media update explores what the change from Twitter to X means. The
most noticeable changes are
the logo and the name. The iconic Twitter birdie
flew the coop and took its
particular shade of blue with. The logo got replaced by a
big letter X on a black background.
Along with the logo change, Twitter
or should I say X (this might take some getting used to) also moved in under the domainname
X.com. If you are an
online Twitter user, you can relax, typing in
Twitter.com will also take you to the social media network,
for now.
With Twitter changing to
X, the vocabulary is
also changing. The word
tweets is supposed to change to
Xs.
However, for the time being you will still need to hit the
tweet button if you want to post and
retweet if you want to share other tweets or Xs.
